    Our goal at Marjorie Jones is to teach, motivate, and inspire our students in an esteem-building atmosphere.  We have an   “open door policy,” and encourage you to speak with your child’s instructor regarding questions or concerns you might have.  We pride ourselves on our ability to keep the lines of communication open between Instructors and Parents.


 

Artistic Director:
Stephanie Pritchard- (Director); an alum of the Marjorie Jones Schools, received her BFA in Dance Performance and Education from the Ohio State University in 1999. A current board member of Ohio Dance Masters and Dance Masters of America, who has been teaching and choreographing in the Columbus area for the past 21 years.

Our Faculty:

Dara Berman-Cheung-  received  her  BFA  in  Dance,  with a focus on Choreography from The Ohio State University in 2000. She has taught both in Miami, Florida and the Columbus area for the past 17 years. A current board member of Ohio Dance Masters and Dance Masters of America, who begins her 12th year of teaching for Marjorie Jones Schools.

Kylie Bonfante- grew up in Columbus where she trained and performed in many classical roles. Kylie received her BFA in Dance from The Ohio State University in 2013; and is excited to begin her fourth year teaching at Marjorie Jones.

Allie Bratton- dancing since the age of 2, Allie also performed with the Billy Bruce Jazz Force. She has been teaching and choreographing for our competition team for the past 14 years.

Susie Bratton- performed professionally and throughout the state of Ohio since a very young age. She has been teaching dancers from age 3 through adulthood; for several years. This will be her 18th year teaching with us, and choreographing for our competition team.

Scott Brown-Heimlich- starting his 10th year with us and on the faculty at Otterbein College, Scott brings more than 30 years of performing experience to the classroom. Teaching since the early 1990’s,he has served on the staff of BalletMet under the direction of John McFall, Nashville Ballet under the direction of Paul Vasterling and upon his return to Columbus he rejoined the staff again at Balletmet under the direction of David Nixon and Gerard Charles. he brings a unique view to classical ballet training which allows the student to leave the classroom technically stronger and wiser each time.

Elyse Dakin- danced at the Marjorie Jones Schools for 13 years. She is currently pursuing her BFA in Dance from The Ohio State University. Elyse is starting her fourth year as an Instructor at Marjorie Jones and loves to pass on the tradition of dance at MJSB to younger dancers.

Stephanie Doe- grew up dancing and competing in  the  Toledo area. She has been teaching and choreographing for Marjorie Jones Schools over the past eight years, including the competition teams. She earned her degree in Dance and Health Education from The Ohio State University, in 2011.

Lauren Egle- Has been dancing at Marjorie Jones Schools since 1998. Lauren attends The Ohio State University studying Nursing with a minor in Dance. Lauren continues to train in various styles of dance through programs at Broadway Dance Center in NYC. She is looking forward to beginning her third year as one of our Instructors.

Katie Ford- Katie is currently a Preschool Gymnastics Director, Level 2 gymnastics team head coach, Coordinator   of Ninja/Warrior Zone programs,  Dance  Acro  instructor,  and a special needs rock climbing coach. She earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood/Special Education from Ohio University, received her Autism Certificate from George Mason University and her Masters in Inclusion and Leadership from The Ohio State University. Katie has taught  as an Early Intervention Specialist for over 15 years, she has coached gymnastics since 1995, and has taught preschool level up to optional level gymnasts. She is a certified member of Dance Masters of Ohio and Dance Masters of America.

Kelly Manofsky- A former dancer of Marjorie Jones Schools, since 1994. She graduated from  Ohio  University  in  2012 with a Bachelor of Specialized Studies; her two main areas     of concentration were Dance and Child Development.   She    is currently the Assistant Director at “Little Dreamers, Big Believers” in Grandview Heights and is very excited to start her second year teaching with us!

Lizzie Rumpz- Lizzie danced at the Marjorie Jones Schools for 13 years before graduating in 2013. She is currently attending The Ohio State University; studying Psychology with a minor in Dance. Lizzie looks forward to starting her second year teaching with Marjorie Jones.

Elissa Snouffer- was a graduate of Marjorie Jones Schools in 2011. She received her BFA in Dance from The Ohio State University in 2015. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Ohio State. Elissa is a certified member  of Ohio Dance Masters and Dance Masters of America. She  is excited to begin her sixth year teaching at Marjorie Jones!

Angel Valerio- has danced and competed in the Columbus area since the age of 3. Angel has been teaching dancers ages 3-12 for the past 12 years. She is excited to begin her second year of teaching with us.
